Fire Officer level 2?

I am wanting to become a Fire Officer level 2 and I was wondering if I have to go through Firefighter level 1 and 2 and then Fire Officer level 1 then I can do Fire Officer level 2. I know with me wanting to be a paramedic also i have to have my EMT first before I can go into paramedic is it the same for becoming a Fire Officer?

Actually, depends on where you live and where you are going to school. In New Jersey, in order to be a paramedic you need to get an A.A. in Science, most of the people who go thru the course are E.M.T.'s to begin with. As for the Fire officer, it is the same difference. It depends on where you live and what the local/state qualifications are. If you want to get more information the best thing to do is go to city hall and speak to the fire chief.
