Alternative Careers for law students....? |
I am a 3rd year law student. I am undecided if I want to be a lawyer or not, assuming getting a job will be tough, does anyone recommend any careers where my law degree would help? Ir is generally a good education for business, teaching,finance, politics, banking, government, law enforcement, lobbying, and other areas where you have to think clearly and quickly. Graduating law school also shows you can handle stress. Don't give up on being an attorney so quickly. Most lawyers do not go to court, and we practice in very diverse fields. I think the whole alternative career for lawyers is jargon from the law schools career counseling center, trying to sell the product of a legal education and all its uses so students will keep shelling out money for law school, even as the attorney market gets flooded, job opportunities go down, and wages go down, it is just a business from the law school's side to get your tuition money. |
