Doctors note for being home sick for employer?

I work at a childcare center. My son and I both got what I think is food poisoning from some take out food we ate for supper last night. We have diarhea and vomiting and stomach cramps. He attends the center, I work there. Anyways I left a message this morning(no one answered) that we'd be out today. I got 2 calls from both directors already asking if I feel better and I need a Dr's note. I told them I have noone to watch my son and he is unable to wait in a clinic for me and vice versa with our current conditions!! Is this harrassment for them to keep calling me and wanting this note that I can't get? If I call my dr and tell him the situation and he makes a note that I called would employer accept that?

call your doctor, tell them what's up, and ask them if they
would be nice enought to write you a note, an employer
usually doesn't ask for a doctors note unless you are out
3 days or more. One phone call was enough from your
Employer. Maybe they just didn't communicate with each
other.
A doctor would have a tough time writing a note on something the Doc didnt see. Though it does sound like it is a work place you might want to leave
I don't think they are trying to harass you, they may just want to be sure you don't bring something contagious back to the childcare center when you go back. No "reputable" doctor will give you a note without seeing you either. You may try Dr. Nick. "Hello everybody!"
Just write your own note and ask the doctor to sign it. Its a good process to take there are to many other little people who's parents expect you to take all steps to a healthy ambiance. They also need to cover their ***,,,just in case.
