i am graduating this spring. i dont want to be a police officer/parole officer/corrections officer. what specific jobs can i do with this degree. also if i wanted to use this degree to open my own practice of some sort ..what kinda practice could i do...i wanna eventually be my own boss...etc..i a way...and i wanna make the big $$$...one more question...i want to go for a masters...any suggestions?!?
Perhaps you'd better hold off on graduating and stay to get a degree in something else that may help you find a better job - accounting, finance, computer science. A criminal justice degree isn't going to help you do anything except be a peace officer (which you could have done without a degree). If you want to go to law school, you can do it with your degree but that will take another 3 years of school.

life a Master's in criminal justice isn't going to be worth it. Criminal justice is a field where experience counts more than education. I have no idea what business you could start with criminal justice knowledge beside a private detective service or a bailbond agency, but you can do those without a degree. A career with the government is your best bet, but starter jobs that pay a living wage are your officer type jobs. there are other started positions that won't pay you squat. If you go for your masters, try getting it in a major like finance or economics and you can probably have a minor or concentration in criminal justice. minored in criminal justice, found no good paying jobs coming out
