Labor Law ?????

Is it legal for a company to have an employee work (13) hours a day and only pay them for (12) hours. What the dispute is- some believe if an employee works (12) hours a day while on shift work 2/3/2 or 4/3 by law the employees lunch is paid time by the company is true? If so in what states.

You don't say what state you are in, but take a look at this website from the US Department of labor.
You should be able to find the answer there...
