Is it legal for an employer to drive an employee(against will) to a facility for random drug testing?

My work is known for doing this so that the employee doesn't have time to find a detox drink or fake the urinalysis in some way. I know some employers will make the employee pee in a cup on the premises with no warning, though forcing your supervision of someone on the ride to a facility sounds odd.

Yep. It's legal. It would be better for them to have a reason for doing this...for example here in CA, they do not force supervison, but if you have an accident at work you will be forced to take a drug test immediately. I am sure you signed something when you were hired stating that this is okay. Look through your pre-employment AND your orientation paperwork carefully. If you don't find anything, I would call one of those employment lawyers that will answer one question for free over the phone. Good luck.
It's 100% legal. You probably signed something when you were hired that said that you have to submit to random drug screening. If you're clean you have nothing to worry about... right?
It's probably legal. If those people are so concerned about their jobs, then why do they take the drugs? Some nerves saying they don't get the chance to find a detox drink to fool the specialist. Would you want someone under the influence to handle your business? Kudos to the employer, is all I have to say.
As long as you're not a druggie you should be happy that your employer is this concerned about your safety. If you are a druggie, that would explain the concern. Yes it is legal and some employers will view a refusal as a failed test.
If the company's policy is to randomly drug test employees, then it's perfectly legal. You should have been informed when you took the job of this.
yes they can, you wont have to worry if you follow the law
been there done that
