Legal right to my own computer?

My parents took my computer when i was 17. Im almost 18 now though. Do i have any legal right to it when im 18? I bought it myself with my own money from working down the street...

You are the child. They are the parents. Respect them. You dont own anything as long as you live in their house. You must have done something that only a child would do for them to treat you like a child and take your computer. I hope this helps/
you can file suit in small claims court asking for the money value of the computer from when they took it.
FINALLY a parent who gives a damn! Yes, you should have a right to it unless they are holding it as collateral on money you owe them. Hey you can take them to small claims court!
You may have a legal right to it BUT how do you plan on enforcing that right? And have you thought about the possible repurcussions? Such as once you are 18, the parent is under no legal obligation to support you. Are you prepared and ready to fully support yourself? Pay for your housing, utilities, food? Or to pay your parents room & board?
Actually you might not have a right to it. In many states, children don't own anything, all they possess is actually owned by the parents. That includes wages. So you need to check it out in your state. If you didn't own it at age 17, you don't come to own it at age 18.
You answered your own question; I PAID FOR IT WITH MY OWN MONEY. the computer belongs to you regardless of age; apart from moral, ethical behaviour; your parents must know about these; they are morally and ethically betrowed to return the computer; on the other hand; at the age of 18 you are also legally allowed to find your own living arrangements and take the computer with you.
