What are my rights with regards to self employment.?

What are my rights with regards to self employment.?

you have the right to be self-employed.

No idea what you are looking for here.
This is a really big question!! Can you narrow it down. Rights to what exactly.....??
Go to the local labour exchange, they should be able to help you. If not your local Inland Revenue, or probably the place where you will find out how to find this info is the CAB.
Try and Sack yourself then see what your rights are!
Your rights are that you get a contract or job and get paid when it has been completed. When the jobs done that it is it, you have to find another person/company who wants your services. Additionally, you are responsible for paying income tax on your earnings and you need to save a proportion of your money to pay this and any other bills or overheads. Go to the tax office website for detailed advice on self employment and starting-up a company.
Are you asking whether or not a company can choose to pay you as in independent contractor rather than as an employee? If that is your question, the answer is that if you are truly an employee; i.e. you are expected to to work certain specific hours, you are provided with all tools necessary (you don't have to buy anything), then you could force the employer to pay you as an employee. However, then they may just find an excuse to terminate you.

Hope that helped.
You have the right to be self employed...I copied that answer from the first guy.

Seriously Ive been self employed for a few years and Ive been able to have peace of mind and pay off my student loans just with the amount of money I got back on my tax returns.

If you haven't chosen a business yet you may want to add my company to your list of options. Hope this helps. Good luck.
