How do you go about getting back backpay?? My job made a mistake with there accounting .?

Insted of paying me x amount i was really getting paid less then what i signed for. Are they in violation of labor laws?? its been 3 years of this that would be alot of $$$ if you really add it up.

And you are just now getting around to questioning this because......?

Go to the payroll department and confim your suspicions and ask what is going to be done about it.
It took you three years to figure out you weren't getting paid what you had agreed to at the time of hire? They should be docking your pay for sheer ignorance!

Companyy financial records are typically closed at the end of the 12-month fiscal period - so the most you'd be able to get is for the current fiscal year. Talk to your boss, HR, or payroll - they don't have a legal obligation to pay you any amount, and in fact can change the pay at ay time after hire. Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll give you something, but if not, you don't have any legal recourse - sorry.
