Is there any law that is about loo days?

I was off work for two days due to being ill and ask my boss if i could use my 2 loo days instead he decided to take the days of my holidays. Now i am short on my yearly holidays. Can he do this.Should he given me a choose first?.

Lieu Days are there for YOUR benifit. It is YOUR day back in exchange for working on a holiday. He shouldn't have done it, no.
You should not have to take annual leave or lieu (note spelling) days if you are ill. Your boss is out of order. Tell your union rep to investigate. You ARE in a union of course?
Surely if you were off ill, the days should have been sick days and therefore completely unrelated to either holidays or lieu days. I think you've been diddled!
I assume your days in lieu (not loo) have been awarded in return for time worked. The are an agreement between you and your employer, as far as I know there is nothing legal about it unless it is in your contract.

The solution seems simple, when you want a week off take 3 days holiday and ask for 2 of your lieu days to make up the week.

If these days are not forthcoming, stop working the extra hours or get a job with a better employer.
Depends on where you live as each state has different laws regarding the matter. Typically, most companies that offer sick time have it limited to a set amount per year. Once this time is gone there's usually a lot of latitude on the part of the employer as to how that time should be compensated. Some companies don't even offer sick time and require the employee to either take unpaid leave or make up the time they were gone due to their illness. Additionally, the decision to use your holiday time may not truly have been the decision of your boss. Depending on the business you work for, there may be a company policy in place requiring him to use your holiday time in which case your manager's hands may be tied.

Perhaps your best resource to find out if this can be done or not is your State Department of Labor. They typically maintain the laws concerning this kind of issue. Good Luck.

You need to check your employment contract. An employer doesn't have to pay anything other than SSP for sick days, and that doesn't kick in until the 4th day.

However, an employer can't force you to use holiday to cover absences due to illness, they should ask you whether you wish to do so, giving you the option not to lose 2 days pay, or take them as sick and not be paid at all.
