What are skills needed in order to be a Lawyer?

What are skills needed in order to be a Lawyer?

First of all there are a lot of skills that are involved when working as a lawyer (or so I think). First, you have to be able to know what your opponent is going to say before he even says it. Second thing is that lawyers must be able to use evidence wisely. Lastly, lawyers also try not to give away what they are trying to prove since the opponent might make up a lie once he/she knows what the lawyer is trying to do. So basically, a lawyer needs great understanding of communicating to people effectively.
the ability to talk well or rhetoric, organization, think quick, persuasion, persistence, knowledge of the loops of laws and a lot of schooling.
Most lawyers don't spend time in court. And those that do often argue in front of a judge, rather than a jury, where a legal argument is far more important than a rhetorical one.

A good memory is the most important element, followed by having a strong attention to detail. Without those you're doomed before you begin.
No skill required. Go to law school and pass the state examine.
can you lie without feeling guilty?
Skills? You have missed many steps here. First you graduate from High School with very good grades and you maintain your social skills and volunteer, move on to college, maintain a 4.0 average, get your BS degree, move on to Law School and so on and so on. If you get this far then you'll know that there is the State Bar Exam. You pass that, you go to work for a Law Firm or Government Agency based on your area of practice. You spend about 4 years or so honing "your skills". Only then you can talk about skills.

In essence this ain't no Fast Food Restaurant or large scale retail establishment.

Sorry if this is a bit harsh but its a big bad world out there and you have to be ready or you'll get eaten alive.
