What is the difference between L.A. city job and county job?

What is the difference between L.A. city job and county job?

The benefits are usually different. Depending on what department you work for in the city (if you work in a legal department), your employment could be at-will (easily terminated), rather than a civil service job (where after you pass your probation more hoops would have to be jumped through to terminate you).

The salaries too. Sometimes the city pays more than the county.

It should also be noted that the benefits are different from city job to city job (and county job to county job). What job are you looking at?
