It sales career? |
Hi, does anyone know about this career as I'm thinking of changing my profession as a financial adviser and have considered a variety of mainly sales roles and have now come to this one. My main priority at the moment is pay as I am really moving to get into a more lucrative profession, so does anyone know what type of salaries to expect in comparison. Any other info about the career will also be appreciated. Thank you An IT sales professional's work falls into the three main areas of pre-sales, sales, and post-sales support of hardware and software: The first area involves supporting pre-sales activities by giving detailed information about technical specifications and the ways in which they could meet the customers' needs, often demonstrating those features before a sale. Secondly, the actual sale involves negotiating a commercial agreement to the benefit of both customer and supplier. Finally it could be technical support, which follows the sale, which can include solving faults and problems, or maximizing the use of software features, as well as advising on appropriate user training. Salary for supervisory roles can range from $50K to $100K annually, depending on employer and experience. ------------------------------... The Financial Advisor position is highly entrepreneurial and involves extensive client development, prospecting, and consultative selling. They listen to their clients' life goals and objectives and develop financial plans that help them get there. They also participate in training and development throughout their careers to continually improve their ability to provide the best advice and service for their clients. Salaries for this type of position can vary widely, but on average will fall between $75K and $105K annually. I personally think being a financial advisor (if you are an ethical one) would be a more rewarding career... both personally and financially. Source(s): 10 years in sales. most financial position involves sales. so youll be pushing investments to customers in hopes to get a sale so you make money. the alternative is investment analyst which isnt big right now, merril lynch fired a whole lot of them to cut cost. |
