Does anyone know of any work at home opportunities that don't include an investment or sales.?

No!
OK. a bit radical statement but unless you are pro in some areas like programming, writing articles, graphic design, video editing you are likely to get scammed.
I was thinking from sometime to grow cacti at home and to sell them, or to make original orange juice from real fruits, or to make craft boxes .. you can think of something like that but again it is not a work, it is business ad if you have entrepreneurial spirit and luck you may succeed in whatever you choose. Good luck
There is nothing in life that is free - and if you do invest something - you hope to make it work, right?
The data entry things are likely to little to live off of and sales despite your negative thoughts are thriving.
Dig deep, ask questions and find people to build your team so they do the better selling -
Go try to find the magazine Success From Home - it has real stories of people who found success - it may help inspire you.

Most people who do work from home established trust in their job to do so -
and or invested something to try to be successful -

Typically with these questions, all you get is spam. There are telecommuting jobs that some major companies offer, but you'll only find them through a traditional employer.

I can't say if all of these online jobs are scams or not, but it seems like every one I've tried ended up either wanting money up front (which legit jobs NEVER ask for) or they end up never paying for services rendered.

**In fact, I got a check a month or so ago from one of the survey companies I tried a while back. Upon cashing it at the bank, it was linked to a FRAUD ALERT and they would not cash the check!!!**

Proceed with caution with these jobs and if you don't want to do 9-5, consider other unique possibilities. Maybe you could clean houses (which can pay upwards of $60-$100 daily), babysit/pet sit, do lawn maintenance, or other jobs out of your home. My 16-year-old nephew even started a graphic design business out of his house and makes pretty decent money.

The great thing is these jobs pay cash up front and give you a flexible schedule. This is great for stay-at-home moms or college students! Network with your family, friends, and neighbors and you'll have work lined up in no time.

Think outside the box and you'll make it happen! Good luck!
