How do I figure out the validity of my Indian graduate degree in the US and my job prospects thereon? |
I completed my masters in advertising & marketing communications from Symbiosis,Pune. Im currently working in Marketing & Brand Management. Have about 3 years of experience contact the US Embassy or Consulate nearest you and talk about getting a visa to work in the US. I rather suspect the prospects are fairly dim -- we have lots of advertising and marketing people here. In order to meet government requirements to get a work visa, your potential employer would have to show that you have some near unique qualification such that they can't find Americans to do the work. I suspect, in your case, that would almost certainly involve your knowledge of and skills in the Indian market -- language, customs, contacts, etc. Finding a US firm that wants to sell in India and needs US based people with those skills is going to be a real challenge.
