Corporate sales experience, mba?

how viable is corporate sales experience with an MBA when it comes to appointing a CEO?

Are there any other better combinations as a general rule of thumb?

I think it is a viable combination if the CEO spot is your goal. However, it will likely take years and years at the company, proving yourself, and working your way to the top to achieve this. Sales experience and an MBA will not guarantee they'll make you CEO one day. Source(s): 10 years in sales.
