What is the job of media sales managers..? |
what are the question can be asked while you are apering for the interview of media sales manager..? Media Sales Managers are usually responsible for the selling of media space... This can be anything from selling an advert in a newspaper through to selling a billboard. It depends on the company you're applying to. They usually want specialist knowledge of advertising mediums though so if you don't know much about it, there is very little chance you'll get an interview. There are usually standard questions such as: Why do you want this job? Where do you see yourself 5/10 years from now? What skills can you bring to this role? This is in addition to position specific questions such as asking you to specify what you would do in certain situations. Good luck Don't worry about what they ask you. You ask this......This is your most important question: 1) What percentage of my account list will be direct and what percentage will be agency? If they tell you that you will be selling ALL direct, then tell them you are no longer interested. It will be virtually impossible for you to make your goals if you have to sell direct only. You will need the agency accounts as a base for your month. Agency accounts would be the big ones like the car dealers, furniture stores, grocery stores, hardware stores, mall stores, etc. The direct ones would be the locally owned stores with small (if any) dollars set aside for advertising. Everything else is immaterial. I can't improve on the first answer given, media sales is hard work. A posh name for tele-sales, selling advertising space, when as the sales manager you do your own work and shout at other people to get leads. |
