I was interviewed by a marketing firm to help me find a job however their fee was $695.00 to me? Should I pay? Absolutely not. These companies that charge the job seeker for helping them locate a job are not worth the time it takes to go to them for an interview. Any decent head hunter company that works for it's money charges the employer, and the employer knows that they will get a good employee. The ones that charge the employee don't do much more than send you to places they know are constantly in need of new employees (read: high turnover rates) but are not willing to pay the fees themselves, and to jobs listed in public sources. Did they get you a job? Did they get you any leads? Do you like your credit score? Then I'd pay. Holy cow, no! That's WAY too high. NO.. _real_ employers agencies get their money from the employer NOT the applicant. Hmmm , aren't you sort of obligated to pay , you must have something contractual with them. They provide good solid leads... Dang, I wouldn't. Most agencies charge the employer. Go to some of the free to you agencies, there are a million of them. This doesn't sound right to me. Is there a guarantee? Employers are the ones with big bucks, just doesn't sound right. It's a scam. If you want someone to find a job for you, call a head hunter. If you have the name of this marketing firm, just type it on your computer and it should tell you if it's legal or not. Better safe than sorry. |
