Am I qualified for a Marketing Job? |
I'll be graduating from Texas A&M University in approximately a year and a half. My major is Agriculture Leadership & Development with an emphasis area and minor in Economics. I have experience as an Executive Director of fundraising for a Student organization and have worked as an Information and Technology Technician going on 3 years. My major highly stresses Leadership development and being able to maximize the use of the resources you are provided with. I love Marketing and thats what I want to do and find my major will be extremely useful being a part of a marketing team. However, I am afraid that I won't be able to land a job because I dont have a Marketing or highly related major. I would like to know your insight and possibly some advice. Thank You. You would fit very well in other areas of marketing like Sales, Media Relations, Sales Promotion, Advertising Account Manager, Public Relations and other support staff positions. Peace and blessings!
