What is a marketing trend ?

like what kind of marketing trends would you use in being a competing manager in a restaurant?

The general direction in which something tends to move. A general tendency or inclination towards something e.g.; the current fashion trend for women is a micro-mini. Or, the current trend in advertising themes are 'slice of life stories,' etc.

I don't know anything about restaurant marketing so I can't help you. I would be guessing. Sorry.

Peace and blessings!
A marketing trend is anything that is predominantly happening in the general population. For example, people grill out in the summertime, so the demand for steaks increases. In the winter, potroast becomes the requested meal.

Whether you mean that you are a manager in a restaurant that is competing with another restaurant or you are a manager that is competing with another manager in the same restaurant, it's merely about understanding what the customer wants. The easiest way to do that is by reviewing past sales. The trends will reveal themselves and will be an indication of future sales. You'll rarely hit the mark perfectly, but at least you will be along the correct lines.
