What do salesmen need to learn? erm. what do they need to learn? they learn as they go. communications skills product positioning tele skills presentations skill proposal, porfolio preparing product knowledge company product development and marketing strategies identifying sales leads and follow up leads depending on which line you are in, but after sales service is as important as following sales lead.Referrals from exisiting customers are faster than those cold called sales people must also be able to pick up trends in maket no matter same indusrty or not, they affect sales targets and so on. dont be a salesman ,if you can sell, be a businessman instead.seek better cost and lower price and some profitable margin items...profitable margin and unprofitable margin must go together How to sell the value of a product and not just the product. To hone in on a customers 'pain' and be able to provide them with a good solution. Most importantly-SHUT UP! The best saleman do very little talking. How to sell. How to convince someone they need somthing when they really do not. To be a good flirt. Sad, but all true answers. Two things. You have to ears and one mouth. Listen more than talk. ABC, always be closing. Close, close, close. If you can't close on the sale, close on what is needed to get the sale. pleasant personality, willingness to listen, to offer a solution and generally do not become a pest. added advantage is day's hardwork - it always pays. Money will come if you are sincere in your efforts. Have a good knowledge of the product you are trying to sell and do an analysis of the customer's need. always try to think like a chess player - what the other person will be thinking and talk appropriately |
