What do you think about MLM sales structures ?

Hy there

I am trying to create a downline in a new MLM business who looks very promissing, it's in pre launch phase until September. More I can't tell you here.

I would like to know in general how you people in the US do think about MLM sales structures.
As the US has the most companys in MLM I belive that you can give me a very good feedback about this.

Thanks for all answers and contacts
Guido

If you start with a MLM company and expect to get rich, I鈥檇 say the odds are against you. Many people did and still do make it in the MLM industry but the odds are extremely small. If you consider yourself average I would recommend you start your MLM with intentions to learn, see it as an extra class in College to receive field training on how to build a business. MLM鈥檚 teach you what you cannot learn in school and that is actual field training and talking with people in which you do not know. Also you may learn how to sell, market, and if the system is good, personal development; all essential elements when it comes to starting a traditional business. If you do not consider yourself average then aim to get rich but just make sure you are willing to put in the work. Also don鈥檛 get completely consumed by your MLM, you have to really feel it in your heart and understand it but do not just become a drone that repeats everything always think if what you was just told makes sense. Do your own research and don鈥檛 just believe everything you hear your upline say. Always have a mind of your own and treat everything as a learning experience. I personally do not favor MLM because the pay is horrible do to the percentages at which you make off your downline. Also in MLM you become unwilling to help people who are not in your financial interest, or people who you receive 0% of their work. You tend to not want to help these people because you make nothing off of them, you only place people horizontally right under you because you receive the most percentage of their work. The people 3 levels down receive no help from you because you鈥檙e too busy placing people one level under you. Also the end of the month requirements is the big problem in most MLM鈥檚, if you did not hit the sold requirement you receive no pay; as for the average person cannot sell the amount required so many people fail. People become too dependant on only recruiting because they鈥檙e not really selling enough to hit the monthly requirement. As for the comment made a few people above mine, Market America is not an MLM, so do not just believe everything you hear unless you try something.
I think they are a scam and just barely on the side of legal. I would strongly advise people to stay away from anyone involved with them. They become almost cult-like in their behavior.
When done legally and ethically - it can be great - especially if you are one of the early ones.

However greed, jealousy, and such starts taking form as people starting pulling in more bucks than someone else, and then things get messy.

Soon the tail starts wagging the dog, the plans and programs change to benefit a top few, and then all the lower level people start getting screwed.

From that point it's not a matter of selling a good product through a distribution network, but more a race to recruit a mass of people regardless of their ability to work the program.
You have about as much chance as a snowball in hell at making it in an MLS scheme.
With all the MLM's I've been involved with and never got paid, I think the worst thing is what you have to meet every month in order to get a check. Also, you can't even get a check from the company unless you find other people to do what you are doing, I don't like that either. The only thing is MLM's are basically all the same and a lot of people won't hear nothing about it. Your better off getting into direct marketing like I did. It is a world of difference. Jennifer
I am NOT interested in MLM .. typically the only one that makes money is the one that could stand to lose the most and is so far up the line, it is finally coming in.

Filled with false promise, MLM's dont pay the little guy that needs the money now. It breaks families incomes, spirit and hopes.

Amway, (which is now Quixtar) Arbonne, Market America and SO many others are NOT worth the average person to even consider to try .. Not meant to bash, only the truth (and I am sure the truth will hurt some) Hope you are not looking to recruit .. you will have a long wait to see that paycheck come in!
MLM is great concept if done ethically with good leaders and join that MLM which deals in fmcg etc products and that MLM must have good reputation already and has presence in many countries and top 3 MLM are as follows
NO 1 MLM is AMWAY with global turnover of usd 7.29 billion
No 2 MLM is MARYKAY with global turnover of usd 2.1 billion
No 3 MLM is Forever living International with global turnover of usd 1.2 billion
People from every part of EARTH are of 4 mind sets
1st is they are looking for the best and join the best MLM and are successful.
2nd join MLM but quit later on.
3rd are those who watch above 2 categories.
4th are total negative about the concept.

Now you have to decide in which part you are.
