Would you apply again at a company ...? |
I applied for a marketing job in May with a local company. They called me for an interview and then a second interview. Its a company that I would like to work for and I found out in during my interviews that their mktg dept is growing. However, after 2 phone calls to the HR Manager and much dragged out time (and poor planning on their end), they ended up giving the job to an internal candidate. I am interested in another mktg job with them, but I am afraid that if I apply for this job, they will (probably) drag the entire process out and it will end up just like they did the other. I could be wrong. Would you apply for the marketing job? At least they could say is no, but they liked me before ..... Go for it, it seems that they were interested in you. I say get in touch with your contact there, and tell them how much you'd like to work for their company, and that you are interested if/when another marketing position opens up. You'll never know unless you try! Good luck! Go for it. The first time round they were loyal to someone inside the company. This is a good sign. It means the company looks to promote from within. They may not have anyone inside this time and you will have a better shot. Persistence-------Keep after them. I once applied for a job as a car salesmen. I had very little experience and at first they kept saying "no". I kept calling day after day and finally they told me to come in the next morning. The manager told me they were hiring me for two reasons......my persistence, and the fact that they were tired of me calling every day and they figured that by hiring me, it would put a stop on my pestering them. GO FOR IT. |
