What can I expect at this interview? What to wear?

I have an interview for Fruits & Passions in 8 hours. This is a bath/home store with aromatherapy products, etc. I am wondering what type of questions I can expect? What types of answers should I have prepared?

I am doing and will continue to do research on the company, but I am really not sure what else to do in preparation. Any advice would be helpful!

Also I am not sure what to wear, it's very very hot right now (35 degrees Celsius, 40 with the humidex) so would it be appropriate to wear a short sleeved nice shirt with a pencil skirt and pointed toe shoes? Thank you in advance for any help!

What your suggesting sounds perfect, the store will most likely be air conditioned but when applying for a job you need to look professional so what you have stated sounds professional.

You may want to take along a matching jacket over your arm to show that your intention is to be properly attired. You don't need to wear it, but if you have it over your arm it will suffice.

With respect to the questions and answers, they will most likely ask questions like your previous work experience and qualifications. Keep your answers short and to the point, don't ramble on.

Don't ask what they are paying on the first interview, that will turn them off. If you are considered they will tell you the pay and the benefits and at that point you can say yes or no.

For the first interview you need to impress them with your professionalism they don't want to hear your life story so keep that to yourself.

Good Luck!
They may ask you why you want to work there. Since you are doing research on the company you will have that answer covered. Make sure you throw something in that shows you truly did your homework.

I am sure they will ask you about your customer service experience. If you have any tell them about a time you went above and beyond for a customer.

What did you like best about your last job? What did you like worst? Remember anytime you are talking about something you did not like turn it into a positive. For example, I did not get the opportunity to deal with customers that much. I enjoy working with customers and now I am looking for an opportunity that allows me to come in contact with them daily.

Make sure you ask them questions as well. It is just a conversation do not over analyze the interview or it could not turn out the way you would like it to.

Give a firm handshake upon meeting the interviewer. Your handshake sets the tone for the interview. A weak handshake shows poor confidence, be sure not to squeeze so hard the interviewer needs an wrap their hand in ice. Maintain eye contact and listen. If the interviewer says something you find interesting wait for a pause in the interview and ask about it. You can also write your thought down and save it for later.

Your attire sounds fine. Make sure the sleeves are not to revaling. The skirt should be below the knee, wear little makeup and a conservative hair style.

Good luck!
