I'm considering applying for a sales associate job at At&t, anyone know the pay per/hr & if it's +commission? |
It's in a call center in Orlando, FL Apply! Its a great company to work for. My husband works for AT & T. We have several friends who work in call centers doing customer "win back" or DSL sales, and they are all doing very well. When they got hired, about 5 years ago, it was $14 an hour plus benefits plus commission plus bonuses. I don't know what they make now, but no one has left. One of the guys I used to work with at a radio station has a wife and 7 kids, and from day one, he made more than he did as a DJ and his whole family had health care, his wife could stay home, they got off all public assistance, and he is literally fat and happy now, sitting back and answering the phone. Most of these people drive at least 50 miles a day to get to the call center, and no one has had a second thought about the commute. Its one of the few companies still hiring where one earner can support a whole family and work a 40 hour week. If it werent for the commute, I would probably close my business and work there. Good luck in the interview! Some positions are hourly and some are commisioned base. At&t is union company so if it is hourly it will be on their contract scale. Go ahead and apply and they should tell you if you get an interview. |
