May I know how to be a successful sales person? |
May I know how to be a successful sales person? If i can only give you one piece of advice it is 'talk to everyone'. sales is a numbers game. if your a horible closer and lets say you only close 2 out of every 10 people you get in the door but you bring 100 clients in a week. your still gonna make more than the guy closing at 40% that sits with 20 people. And read the book "one minut maneger" It will improve your productivity 10 fold. good luck. Source(s): sales manerer with L.A fittness for 2 years The BEST sales person: 1. Listens. if you talk too much, you lose the sale. If you oversell, you lose. You have to listen to the person and "fill their need". 2. Communicate. When you hear it, sometimes you need to reiterate what you heard to make sure you and the person are on the same page. 3. People person. If you aren't a people person, you will fail. You have to want to be around people. 4. Knowledge. If you don't know a product and try and sell it, you will fail. People know when you are BS'ing. The one thing I can guarantee will happen if you start "blowing smoke" is you will wind up eating it. Make a promise you can't deliver on, you will wind up eating it. KNow that sales is about selling not only the product but yourself. That's the key You must be a good listener. You must be able to take no for an answer and not take it personally. You must believe in the product you represent; if you don't the customer will sense your insecurity about the product. You must dress well and be attentive to person hygiene; hair groomed, any facial hair trimmed neatly, modest makeup, etc. You must be able to start the day on a positive note regardless how the previous evening events tranpired. A good sales person have the following qualities: 1) having good knoweldge about the product 2) cabable of reading the customer's mind 3) can speak well 4) polite nature 5) litle bit good looking also(in the sense of his dressing sytle) |
