How to motivate my sales staff? |
How to motivate my sales staff? rewards and contest. at my work we have a board that spells out THANKS FOR THE JOB YOU DO. Everytime someone does something good or gets a compliment or good sales they put their name under the letter and each letter corasponds to a prize we receive at the end of the period. Anywhere from 15 bucks to an ipod to airplane tickets. Goodluck! give one a raise for the one who sells the most incentives Boiling oil. Thumb screws. Iron Maiden The rack. Oh yeah, maybe pay them more. Motivation at work comes from money. you cannot. motivation comes from within. poobah TRAIN them well, make sure they are confident. Coach them on a daily basis. Offer an increasing incentive program that rewards additional sales with increasing commission percentage. Make the additional increases attainable to all, not just the top 20%. (NOT EASY, BUT WITHIN REACH) A bad incentive program can encourage the top few but discourage the rest. ("I never win anyway") Have fun contests, but only once in a while. You can contest and prize a staff to boredom. For example, if you offer spiffs every day for the same products, then they are not spiffs, they are just part of the commission structure. A spiff or a bonus should be short lived, large enough to be exciting, and reasonably attainable. |
