Who would offer job positions for a 14 year old? |
hello(: I'm 14 yrs old and looking for a job that isnt babysitting. the consistency is payment is just too difficult. i just need some suggestions for places to look for a job. i think i might have to get a working permit, so i need to know how to do that aswell. btw, i live in las vegas, if that makes a difference. thanks! The only job that occurs to me where a minor your age can work no matter his/her age, is a paper delivery boy/girl, maybe you should go and find out at your local newspapers' employment offices. You could also go and ask at any of your local fast food stores, but if I'm not mistaken, the minimum age for those jobs is 16 years old. Anyways, it wouldn't hurt you to ask, since on those jobs you're guaranteed minimum wage at least, which is very good to start, especially for a kid your age. You could probably move overseas and work for Nike. i live in vegas as well, and i know as a fact no company will hire you at the age of 14. But you can always ask if someone needs their house to be cleaned or something independent olny job i can think of for a 14 year old is a retirement home being a bus girl I dont think you can legally work anywhere at 14... except for selling candy or magazines door to door.. or like a paper route. i'm pretty sure you cant get a work permit unless you are 15 or 16 and then your hours are limited. how about lawn care? or offering to clean for neighbors... yards, garages, etc? good luck! When I was around 14, I was able to get a special work permit from my school. I don't remember the name of it, but I was then able to work part-time at a nearby store. Good Luck! |
