What are some questions I should ask the sales rep that I am going on a ride-along with?? |
I am currently interviewing for a sales job with a major company, and the next step is going on a ride-along with one of the sales reps. What are some questions I should ask the rep? I really want to make a good impression, so I need to show my interest in this position Hopefully you'll be able to grasp the overall feeling of the job. You should find out what the obstacles are, and ask what some good solutions would be. Other questions you may want to ask: 1. How many accounts do you see in a typical day? 2. How do you generate/receive new leads? 3. What are the most difficult aspects of the job? 4. How do new prospects generally respond to the product/service? 5. How do you like working for this company? It's great that you get to ride along. I wish more employers offered this to new staff. Source(s): A decade in sales. first off do you understand the product your going to sell? just do light talk and listen to the rep! your going to need to learn basically your own sales pitch, but the rep will talk and u will pickup on 2-3 terms that will help u, so what i am saying is listen first, and learn then ask Qs,,,goodluck! Here are some good things to ask about: 1) Selling points of the product. 2) Who are you selling to? Some people might call it an audience analysis. 3) Product competition 4) Where are the products manufactured? 5) Distribution and sales channel (direct sales, indirect sales, distributors) 6) Learn about the industry (books, documents, web sites) The best questions will help you learn where to get more questions answered. How do you know that? Where did you learn that? Where is that information in the literature? How did you do that? |
