Any jobs for 14 years old?

Any jobs for 14 years old?

Most businesses won't be able to legally hire you until you're 15 or 16. Sorry! But there's nothing saying you can't start your own business!

I wrote my own newspaper and sold it in my town when I was growing up. If you're starting your own business, you can do pretty much anything. Think about things you like and things you are good at, and somewhere in there you will find something people will pay you to do or make.

Two books to check out (they say they're for kids, but I honestly believe they really should be for teens, many of the ideas are pretty sophisticated):
Fast Cash for Kids
Better Than a Lemonade Stand
OK ... Years ago when i was a kid.. I used to make up flyers and put them on every door for blocks around my house. They said .....NEED LABOR NEIGHBOR ? List any and everything you can or will do to make a buck. Mow-Rake-Weed-Plant-Walk Dog-Clean Houses-Wash Cars-Feed or take care of pets while on vacation-Paint-Wash Windows .... You get the idea. Put your phone # on it and your in business. Have Fun Jim

Due to US Child Labor Laws, you cannot be traditionally employed at the age of 14, unless you're working for a parent.

However, there are lots of jobs you CAN do. You can do lawn maintenance, wash cars, babysit, clean houses (which pays VERY well), or even tutor other kids... if you're a good student.

You'll make your own schedule and set your own fees. This will work well after school starts later this month.

Network with your friends, family, and neighbors, and you'll be making money in no time.

Congrats to you for trying to succeed at an early age!!!
A decade in sales.... and aunt to a few your age.
