What to do to become a better sales person working for an outbound call center?

don't be a pushy sales person....I persronnaly prefer the "soft sell".

Ask a lot of questions and qualify the person for the product. Don't sell someone something just because...make sure they need it. You will build better relationships if you take this approach...

And you may not be the top sales person right away, but you will slowly get better and get more clients.

Think of it as a marathon....don't go for the all out sprint right away, go slow and finish the race.

Your best bet is to urge your contact center to participate in a quality improvement program. Typically, this involves implementing a call recording and quality monitoring solution which will allow for recorded customer interactions to be evaluated and specific training can be assigned based on the outcome. You would also be able to hear how you sound on a call, which many call center agents find enlightening.
