How to provide good customer service?

I've worked customer service for years and here's my advice:

- Listen to your customers
- If you can't help, find someone who can
- Develop trust, always follow through on a promise
- Develop friendship, chat it up with them, ask about their kids, pets, parents, spouse, etc and remember them later
- Price isn't everything, people will come back to a company if the service is friendly, honest, and good
Have a positive tone of voice at all times dealing with all people and problems, always smile, never be harsh or get rude. there you go.
