I need to expand my career experience, but how? |
I am currently working towards a degree in Marketing and an having some trouble marketing myself to the world. What are some goods way to make sure that i get a job that is going to offer me the experience needed to expand my career and my resume for that matter? you can try hosting an internet web chat room, all you need is a webcam, you can really make some good money, good luck!! http://imlive.com/vippath.asp?host=y&hnu... Ask lots of specific job related questions during interviews to ensure that you are making the right decision. Let them know your interests. You could also do volunteer work for extra experience. Get an internship at a marketing firm. Work nights at a marketing firm as an assistant. Work anywhere as a marketing representative (in any capacity) during the summers. Do whatever you can within the industry you are interested in working in, as early as you can. Build a relationship with a company early in your academic career and it will either get you a job with that company upon graduation, or seriously strengthen your resume for when you look somewhere else. Often times it doesn't even matter if you're doing exactly the same kind of work, if it's within the same general field. Do "freelance" marketing from Craigslist and such. People are always looking for low-cost marketing help with home-based businesses etc. Produce fliers and marketing campaigns for those, and get paid (at almost market rates) while you're building your experience. |
