Transitioning from Marine Recruiter to a Civilian Salesman...?

Basically, I would like to hear from any SALES professionals out there with advice or personal experience in dealing with leaving the military with recruiting experience under their belt.

In particular, I would like to target future employment prospects in the wild world of SALES. No rush, I still have 2 to 3 years to think it over. Thanks!

Sales is the only profession wherein the sky is the limit. You need to pick something you personally like or trust in, i.e. believe in the product so you can sale with conviction. People can read through a scripted pitch so you have to be honest in the approach and believable in the presentation. I was with the USMC and it took a long time to get over the rank and file structural world. Humility and honest pay off in the long term which is where the riches wait.
What kind of sales. I do network marketing and enjoy it.

PS.........thanks for your service!!!
My advice, slow down. Civilians are a trip.

You'll be alright in sales. No problem. If you can sell the Corp today, you could sell a sense of decorum to some celebrities I know, and just might.

But, you've got it right. Chill.
