this... Im in sales now... I own an art gallery... Congratulations on wanting to become a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative! Such a rewarding career. Sorry, but I am not familiar with what you refer to as back to back sales. Do you mean business-to-business sales which b2b stands for? Pharma companies require at least 2 years of successful b2b sales experience. Examples of companies to get this from are Enterprise, Xerox, ADP and Coca-Cola. Although highly impressive, pharma companies may not see your experience in an art gallery as b2b sales, but as retail sales. However, you could probably use your marketing and sales skills to spin your experience there as one that would lend itself as b2b sales and as one that would show your potential to be a successful pharma sales rep. In addition, the completion of a 4-year bachelors degree is another basic requirement for this job. Make sure you have a stellar resume that speaks to your success and learning capabilities. Also, master the art of interviewing; trust me---this will come in very handy. You may want to start with contract companies like PDI, Ventiv and Innovex. This would be an easier route to get your foot in the door rather than directly with big pharma companies. Good luck!
