How much should a professional freelance real estate ad writer be paid? |
Would prefer answers from knowledgeable parties, with practical experience. Thanks! It's all dependent upon your experience. If you've been freelancing for some time, charge appropriately for your time. Most ad writers have two basic ways they get paid: Flat Rate, and Hourly. If you've established yourself in the industry, you can command fees of $75 an hour (or more), and up to $300 per ad written. If you've never written for a real estate company before, try offering your services to a local Realtor with your fee "waived" (read: for free, but don't tell them that!) for the first two or three ads. This will give you some samples to show future prospects, and will help you to establish yourself as an expert in your local area. Be sure that you decide what you will charge before you offer to waive your fee. That way, once you've completed your "waived" projects, your client knows exactly how much they need to pay you for future listings. One more thing...Always be sure to get a writers agreement BEFORE you begin any work with ANY client. For a project where you "waive" your fee, create an invoice with your regular price total, then cross through it and write "WAIVED" across the invoice. This will show prospective clients that you are a consummate professional, and will make them appreciate your services that much more. Plus, you'll be much more likely to gain repeat business. Good Luck!! If you want to make money online and wanted to work from home, go for freelancing jobs. They are only one, that will pay you and its free to become a freelancer. The Internet has opened up many freelance opportunities, expanding markets and helping to build it into one of the largest economic segments for many economies. You dont need to pay to get the job. Development for freelancing has been especially high for software development, website design, information technology, and business documentation. Freelance practice varies greatly. Some require clients to sign written contracts<!--while others may perform work based on verbal agreements, perhaps enforceable through the very nature of the work. Some freelancers may provide written estimates of work and request deposits from clients. Get more information on the website. You can almost find any freelance job you want. http://freelancejobs.awardspace.com/... Payment for freelance work also varies greatly. Freelancers may charge by the day or hour, or on a per-project basis. Instead of a flat rate or fee, some consultants have adopted a value-based pricing method-->based on the perceived value of the results to the client. By custom, payment arrangements may be upfront, percentage upfront, or upon completion. For more complex projects, a contract may set a payment schedule based on milestones or outcomes. |
