What happens after final round of Interviewing? |
I went through 4 rounds of phone interviewing and had an all day in-person interview on Friday. I want to think I did fairly well, and I know that everyone I interviewed liked me. I sent thank you emails to everyone, and got a response back from the big boss saying: "It was a pleasure meeting with you. Good luck in the process. I look forward to talking to you soon. All the best!" The assistant coordinating the interviews likes me I told me that there aren't any other candidates that they are considering that that "all is really good". Anyhow, it's Tuesday, and I have not had any calls. I'm so anxious and am considering calling the assistant to find out what's going on. Should I? Also, how long does it normally take for a company to decide and offer a candidate a position? This is for a marketing position btw. I think you should be able to follow up with the person making the decision on Wednesday. Just reitterate that you are still interested in the position and wanted to see if they have have made a decision. If they say they haven't made a decision, ask them if there are any concerns that they have about hiring you. Then they will either say no, or ask you to clarify something that they may be skeptical about....such as if you're a "job hopper", you have a lack of experience, you had low grades in college, etc. Good luck. Your interview was on Friday.... I would give it 3 full business days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and call on Thursday to follow-up. Ask if there are any other procedures that are necessary and find out when they expect to have the position filled. If you are unable to get a day narrowed down, I would let him/her know the day when you will call back for a final decision. It takes the anxiousness away from your situation and states that you mean business and want something enough to take some control in the matter. Hired and fired a few. if ur shortlisted, they'll call u... in the meantime better to look for more... its better to have a backup plan just in case... besides once they'll be calling u, u have the options as to where to go........ Well how confident do you feel with the whole process. Frankly from the information that I have heard I think that they have not made a decision as of yet. So I recommend a bold move on your part. IT IS BOLD. You have to call them up and ask them if they have made a decision or not. Finally with conviction you tell them that you are the right person for the job if they have not made a decision yet. Tell them you are it. Make sure you do your research before you call that you really want to be part of their team |
