If you leave a sales job right after the quarter, and they owe you commission, will they still pay you?

I may get another job offer that would want me to start in October. I'm making a killing this quarter at my sales job and am above quota. My current job doesnt' usually pay commission out for 6 weeks after the quarter ends. If i left before I got paid, would they still have to pay me my comission? I'm in the state of California, if that makes a difference.

Ask around w/ in the company. Or try calling their corporate office and asking.I'de use a fake name though! But personally I think whether you quit or even get fired your sales, your commision, your money. I think they HAVE to pay you, don't get conned out of what you earned.Good Luck (w/ your pay and possible new job.)
Check with your sales compensation coordinator. I left a sales position recently and was paid for the amount of time I contributed in that quarter.
