Has anyone tried vector marketing? |
i have an interview with them and i wanted to know more about them like is the pay good and is it worth the time and gas. Vector Marketing is yet another multi-level marketing arrangement. They sell knives. The good news here is that the knives are actually pretty good stuff. Working for Vector means being an independent contractor. That means that you're going to spend several hours doing training without being paid for it. No benefits to speak of, either. You'll likely pay an upfront fee for your demonstration kit, a big box filled with really nice knives and other stuff, which you're told will be refundable, but you'll need to jump through hoops for the refund. You'll need to have an outstanding social network of older, affluent individuals if you're going to make big money here. The commissions aren't bad, but the level of effort necessary to secure them is significant. Unless you're a born, passionate salesman, this may not be your cup of tea. If you like sales but don't feel like fighting for your life to get them, check out a non-commission role at somewhere like Best Buy. On the upside, you'll learn a great deal about sales and product demonstration. And the knives really are pretty cool. Especially the spatula/spreader...
