Question on sales jobs?

I recently searched an online job posting site (jobsinnh.com) and found an introductory sales job that seems to pay pretty well ($550 - $900 / week) the only thing is i have no idea what sales is all about. Could someone please explain some of the general things you do working in sales for me, or point me to a website with some info, i tried searching but couldnt find anything usefull.

Thanks
Dave

being in sales means you have to study & know everything about the product, its history, manufacturing, its uses, etc. the job is probably an outbound position which means you have to do a lot of networking to create a client base. you have to have good PR skills, a can-do attitude, and you have to work well under pressure because you will be given quotas. the salary/commission part seems vague though. better check out the company's website or call them to get a clearer picture.
sales usually mean either you have to meet stranger talking to them to sell them somethings good. Thats the low position with no experience in sales. What the job description?
