I want to learn how to be a sales rep. Where do I go for training?

I heard that Professor Rick Ponkow teaches courses in advanced sales techniques at Washington U. in Seattle--should I apply to his class?

Yeah, I think getting more knowledge and hands-on experience is the keys to be a successful sales rep. Good luck on your application! =)
There are many ways to learn the basics of selling. Taking a class or reading a few books would certainly work.

However, nothing beats real-life experience. Try getting an entry level sales position where you can get your feet wet. You'll need to look for something that has extensive training for new hires (ex. auto sales).

With a little time, some experience, and determination, you'll land that sales job you're really wanting.

Good luck!
A decade in sales.
