Does anybody know that benefits about working at The Disney Store?

Is it fun working there?
Is the job hard??
:)

If you love Disney and know the product well, it's a fun and fairly simple job. If you're only ok with Disney at best and don't know too much about it, you're not going to enjoy it. Not only do you need to know about the products, but you'll also need to know about the theme parks because TDS sells the Disney park tickets. And people will ask all kinds of questions about the tickets and the parks. People will also ask about movies that are "in the vault" so try to familiarize yourself with future release dates if you are interested in working with at the store. It's definitely not your typical retail because it's a pretty unique company in that your knowledge has to go way further than just the items carried in the store. If you're passionate about Disney, however, it'll be fun for you.

As far as other perks are concerned, you do get a 30% discount that is good not only at TDS, but also at The Children's Place (since that is who owns TDS). Also, if you are a regular (as in not seasonal) cast member employed for a specific amount of time (I can't remember if it's 3 or 6 months), you are eligible for 3 1-day base tickets per calendar year to the Disney parks. They do not send these to you, you need to fill out a request form and you pick them up at the park itself.

The one thing I don't particularly care for is that there are "on call" shifts. That's when you are scheduled for a particular shift, but you need to call 1-2 hours before that shift begins to find out if you'll be working that shift or not. Makes it difficult to plan things sometimes.

I've been with the company since 2003...from when The Walt Disney Company still owned us to when The Children's Place took over. While I MUCH prefer the ownership of TWDC, I still enjoy being a part of the "Disney magic." Source(s): I work at The Disney Store
it might be fun you should call them and see if you can get a job there.
Fun. A lot of excited children with their parents....If you know your inventory, it won't be hard to service the customers.
