Is it better to take up Marketing or Business Management? And what are the differencess? |
I plan on taking up Business Administration as a Major, and I wanna specialize in either Marketing or Management. What's better? Business Management is broader so it may be that your job options are better in that category. Marketing would look better if you're planning to go into a field like sales or marketing. Management is more of a generalized option that isn't as career specific. If you're truly undecided on what you want to do after you graduate, go with management. If you like marketing courses now, go with marketing. At this point in your life, neither concentration will be a deal breaker when you look for your first job. It depends on where your primary interests lie. Most people who have degrees in Marketing start out is sales and work up into sales management, brand management or marketing management. Many CEO's started in the marketing department. Business management involves running a department or company. You can find those with concentrations in management running retail stores, divisions or the company. The best of both worlds is a dual concentration or dual degrees. |
