Need a Partner Help! Feel Stagned.? |
Stagnant is the word that best sums up how it feels to be me these days. Nothing new flows in, nothing flows out, and all is murky and sluggish I recently woke up from a long nightmare and divorced a controling posessive man whom i spent most of my youth with.He provided me with a good upscale life stile but i was never allowed to do anything to better myself,such as work,go to school,have friends etc..I was very young when we met and only realized he was a master massive manipulative person latter on. I now find myself with little money and not enough skills to get a good job to sustain a good life stile. I like keeping my private among people i meet because i am embarrased to let them know I am trying to get a job in some kind of industry that makes me feel i can keep my dignity, but maybe have not enough skills for it .Although i am bright and learn things fast, i now feel stagned and don't really know how to start...Any sugestion? Sounds like it's time to live your dreams. What did you always want to do? What makes you happy? Honestly it isn't what you do as far as work that makes one feel good or bad about themselves. It whether someone feels empowered or trapped. And believe it or not, that is a choice. Make a list of all the things that you love to do, like to do and can tolerate doing. Then match those up in order with potential business ideas and occupations and start talking to people, interviewing and asking more questions. the sense of worthlessness comes from the fact that you are trying equate yourself with what your situation. write on the piece of paper what positive things you have done and what are not so positive things you have done. one of the positive thngs you have done is divorced a perosn who was misfit for you. you will find that like many others you have a mixed bag of things of positive and not so positive. read about Rational emotive behavious theraby - REBT you will find that most of the things that we think are "musts" in life to be happy are actually "desirable" things and not a need.
