AT&T Jobs for life? |
Do people normally stay with AT&T for careers? Is there room for promotion with them? I'm looking into being a sales rep. It was true at one time; but not anymore. I worked with a number of people at AT&T with 10-15 years in with the company, who were let go as part of the current restructuring. No corporate job with AT&T outside of Atlanta is safe. Sales has always been a revolving door job there; that's why there are always sales openings. Source(s): Me. I'm a former AT&T employee, 3 years with the company, one year as a contractor. that was true 30-50 years ago No more, there is no pemanency in any job now! NO JOBS are for life. period. there is always room for promotion but never ever believe u are there for life. your job is only as secure as how much u produce. biz owner There is no such thing as job security in the private sector. If you want job security and a huge pension, you have to work for government. Well, not actually work, just show up now and then. |
