How do I get a job as a sign holder? |
I see many people holding signs for things like car lots or furniture sales in the summer. I'm looking for a temporary job for the last month or two before i leave for college. You may want to go to the stores which you have seen other people advertising and apply. You can also check out local job placement agencies if they offer those types of jobs. (ex. the furniture store contacts the job placement agency to find someone like you to be hired.) Have fun! stand on a corner with a sign that says WILL WORK FOR FOOD. For the life in me I have no idea why anyone headed for college would want to be a sign holder. It seems to be a very humbling job. Around here we have a pizza place that used them. I hate to tell you but they hired the mentally challeged. I once asked someone that worked at a place across from where they stood why anyone would do that job. They were out there all day in the heat no one should bear and rain and snow. They told me they used mentally slow people and they abused them by not giving them breaks or even drinks. They said one guy passed out even. If you like that job why not a greeter at Walmart. At least it is inside and out of the elements. Evita I think those are just employees of the store...or perhaps the kids or friends of employess working there. I dont think its an actual "job" if you know what I mean. Sure there might be an add in the news paper looking for one but its not really common. |
