Craigslist help? |
I am selling something on Craigslist.com and someone always shoots back I am interested but can I get your name and address so I can send a money order to you. My question is, is this safe? Reason being is that I know Craigslist is usually for pick up only. Thanks................ I would be a little concerned but if you do decide to do this make sure you receive the payment before you ship the item. Remember to have the buyer also pay the shipping cost. Once the money order has been received, take it to the bank and verify that it is authentic. You will probably still want to wait about 2 weeks to ensure that the money order clears through you account before you ship the item. You may want to just to PayPal instead since it's safer. I would tell them that you will only accept cash. Money orders and cashier checks can be faked. No way! Its not safe, dont ever hand out your address/# to anyone asking to send a money order. It's definitely a pick up only system. I've sold and bought many many times on Craigslist and they always say that its a scam to accept those types of things. Hope this helps! No, of course it's not safe to reply to that type of person. Ignore them.. Yea never give your personal info to anyone ! always meet in a well lit parkinglot or bring a friend that what i always do my own experince |
