How much does it cost to put an advertisement on a local tv channel?

I guess I need to know how much the station would charge, what is the smallest slot I can get, and how much it would cost to make a commercial.

The criteria for commercials are:
1. How popular is the station
2. What time slot do you want the commercial to run in. Times during news and weather or nationally syndicated shows are the most expensive.
3. Many times the station will produce the commercial at no cost to you. However, this depends upon the popularity of the station.
4. Always ask for the "in house agency discount"
5. Ask if they are having any fire sales.
6. Check with your local cable provider for package deals across several programs.
7. Always find out in advance if there is a rotator schedule. Sometimes your commercial will run at 4:00 am. This is not good.
8. Get a copy of the commercial. You own it.
9. Most commercials are 30 seconds. Make it say exactly what you want to get the message across. Name, name, name, name, address, address , address
Usually the smallest slot is 15 seconds, and the price depends on what time of day it is.
for a really chea spot on tv like 1000 dollars but like at 2 in the morning on cheap educational chanells nobody likes and u still have to make the commercial which will cost a lot of money and u might need to buy a really good camera so people can take u seriously
Hi,

I work for an ad agency that specializes in getting local business on local TV. We can make your commercial for as little as $499 and buy the spots for you.

Here is a quick overview of what we do and why we are different:

If we can schedule a quick call I'd be happy to provide an estimate based on which channels, time slots and zip codes you would like to cover. It can cost as little as $3.00 a spot in Booneville, Arkansas or as much as $700 a spot in NYC.

I hope to be in touch!
