What should I do to promote my new forum? |
I have recently started a forum about Smoking (www.forums.smokerstalk.com) and I am looking for tips and advice on how to go about promoting it (advertising, affiliates). If you have been successful in the past, in what ways did you become successful? Share with me please :-)! Advertise it on yahoo answers. Wait... Toga party! Enter it in on search engines, use lots of meta tags to get attention. Get google adsense, pay websites to put on ads of you, and if you don't have enough money for it, ask websites to put ads on YOUR website and get money. Or give them your ad and they'll give you yours. If you want a few advertisers, e-mail me (denbrkln@yahoo.com) and I'll give you 2 or 3. I work for a major market radio cluster and I would strongly suggest contacting a station in your area and looking at their web traffic and their station format. See how much it would be for you to purchase space on that station's site. If they have strong traffic and a large amount of page views, this is a very cost-effective way to get your site in front of many people at a reasonable rate.
