Detailed survey for new online store. 10pts best answer? |
I recently opened an online store, and I redesigned the whole layout and navigation. Now I want your opinion. http://www.cafepress.com/jencvs... My designs and target audience are US members, and Im not in the US (Im from Mexico), therefore I'd like you to answer the following questions. Im looking for honest elaborate answers I wrote the following base questions, but if you have further comments please, feel free to elaborate. 1.-General Age Gender Country Do you make online purchases? If yes-What do you buy? How often? 1.- Layout & Design Are the colors ok? Do you find the design attractive? Is it easy to navigate? Do you find the subsections easy to understand? What changes would you make in subsections and/or navigation? 2.-Designs Are the featured designs appealing to you? Would you like to see another kind of designs? Do you like the fonts, colors, styles? Yes, no, Would you consider buying in my online store? Yes, no, why? Anything else you'd like to add? Thanks!! 1.-General Age: 16 Gender: female Country: US Do you make online purchases? Yes If yes-What do you buy? Clothes, video games, CDs, books. How often? at least once a month 1.- Layout & Design Are the colors ok? The colors are kind of dreary and boring Do you find the design attractive? somewhat Is it easy to navigate? It was extremely easy to navigate. Do you find the subsections easy to understand? They were very easy to understand What changes would you make in subsections and/or navigation? Don't say more designs inside, its very obvious that you click on the picture to see more designs. 2.-Designs Are the featured designs appealing to you? Only a little bit in the Girls shirts designs. Would you like to see another kind of designs? yes Do you like the fonts, colors, styles? Yes Would you consider buying in my online store? Yes, no, why? Not really because some of the things are cool, but I'd never wear them. And I only shop at places that have been around for a while and have built up a good reputation before i buy from them. Anything else you'd like to add? nope. honestly the best way to get good feedback about your site is to do some real testing. you need to have a few people test your site out preferably while you watch them doing it, see what they say, this can be done via pc (skype, yahoo) and other remote watching tools. Even if you pay them $40 for a half hour each it will be worth it. and honestly I dont think the site is good enough to get buyers, thats the blunt end you are not going to make many sales from this site as is, there are too many issues here: hosted at cafepress - says "im amateur, fly by night you might never see your item" Layout - says "template from cafepress/elsewhere" Unfortunately your products arent good enough to over come these issues. They are ok, but not so special that people will go out of their way to buy. if you want to consider your own shop, get some cheap hosting with sql, and install oscommerce, buy a template and put products in there, it will cost you $60-90, but you will have a half chance of selling something... To be perfectly blunt you would be better trying to sell your items at say ebay, or other online marketplaces, maybe as part of a bigger site rather than trying to sell from here. I'm Going To HIT Point Blank with a DOUBLE Barrale ShotGun Blast ! I didnt even look at YOUR Site ! Because I Know that the ugliest websites are amking THOUSANDS per week because THEY are The SITEs that GET T R A F F I C ! I dont care if YOU have a perfctly Search Engine Optomized Website ! THE greatest Product ever conceived ! THE Prettiest Website with all the Bells and whistles ! I'll give YOU all Those things TOO and guess What within TWO Months after investing hundreds of Dollars YOU will be curled up in a Corner crying or so angry that you take a hammer to YOUR Computer and bust it into a Million pieces BECUASE YOU Never Learned how To advertise like The BIG Gurus do or HOW To GET TRAFFIC ! at Laest YOU have one thing right one of the 3 things that sells on The Internet CONSUMER GOODS ......be it clothing,jewelry,food.office supplies,shoes,accerories,make... games,DVD's etc...
